• **28 November 2025**: an electrical incident at the Port Kaituma landing — the vessel's lights failed; a connecting wire inside the changeover panel between shore current and generator had "burnt out" and a connector was "completely burnt".
• **30 November 2025**, three separate entries, all marked urgent: number one generator "out of service" with a water pump not functioning and needing repair or replacement; the port main engine heat exchanger running at approximately **197–203°F**; and the starboard main engine exhaust leaking exhaust gases into the engine room during operation, with welders requested. The **Shore Chief Engineer** is recorded as flagging the exhaust as urgent.
• Through **March 2026**, further entries on cooling systems, batteries and other components.
• The outlet's closing question is the one this archive would put: **"What happened after these defects were reported, and was the MV Barima ultimately cleared to operate despite the outstanding concerns?"** Nobody in government has answered it.
